Spotted Leaf Day
Wearing age spots cheerily, a Christmas gift splotched, glistening burning with age, the leaf clings to the branch, awaiting unwrapping when it flaps to the ground. But now it glows, tempting like Santa's wrapped packages under other trees, hung too in red and green and gold.
