Bagworm Evergreen Moth
Even its name sounds so unattractive, so disappointing that it's hard to type. But there was nothing disappointing about the way this bagworm moth larva dragged its "bag" up the cosmos stem and across the leaf to a bud, where, as I watched, it knitted itself inside to wait. Patiently.And I shall wait, too. Eagerly.
