When Sleep Comes

I surrender. Even during the day, even when induced by medication. Even if it means I miss the sparkle of iced branches and buds.












And I am grateful.

Day 23: Another Day That Changed My Life

Waking naturally today as I did in childhood, I slept a good sleep, a drug-free sleep for the first time in over a week (toothache), and soundly.



Now if only I could sleep with the abandon my cats enjoy.

No Faerie Is S/he

but asleep in a daffodil blossom, the lady beetle seems more ladylike (think Titania or one of her companions) and less beetlish than the hundreds of his/her kind I dispatched at The Lemon Fair earlier today.


May she slumber soundly.
