Lavender's First Hue

For Robert Frost, "nature's first green is gold."

Lavender's first hue is pink, the base note rippling under violet as the flower ripens.

Below, the stalk already carries scent and hue, while above a riot of color commingles: purple petals peeking out like roos from magenta sacs and pink ears wiggling in wind.

Soon lavender will become lavender, and the air will fill with lavender, and the color will saturate senses with violet and magenta, blue and pink, lavender and rose.
