Yesterday, as I started my walk around Lake Cheston, I ran into an acquaintance who stopped briefly to join me and chat as we noted the dragonflies and damselflies.
I admitted that until about a month ago, I called them all dragonflies because I didn't know the difference among them. He said he had done the same, and then, lowering his binoculars, added: "I used to live in low resolution, calling all those little yellow-green birds 'tweets.'" That's it exactly: living in low resolution, you can't notice what's there.
With a camera, I embrace high resolution observation of fantastical scenes, like this of snazzy Pigweed Flea Beetles lounging in a passion flower.
