Two tornado warnings and sirens today. Baseball-sized hail pound ing the valley, and tornadoes whipping Chattanooga. Black, gray, bright white sixty-mile-an-hour cloud walls willy-nilly spinning, extending, splitting to reveal robin's-egg blue sky. Random debris dropping in yards; electric wires swinging; trees slamming to the ground.
Yet when I come home, the daffodils nod their heads as always, only now heavy with rain.
