Finally, the "vent kitty," still unnamed by her new mama Emily, is settled in Nebraska with her new best friend.
My friend Jere may be gone, but his loving spirit lives on in the kitty who poked up through his kitchen floor: witness the foundling, rescued by Jere's family and shepherded to those who will love and cherish her.
Life is ever good.
