Today, clear sky and full sun brought many of us up and out.
By the time I made my way round the lake, the red-hatted reader had been joined by two women, another man, and two children, all of them making the most of light's promise.
Afterwards, at home, I read the New York Times article "Reflections," a luminous article on illumination in artworks to accompany us as we "turn a corner on the season of long nights and short days."
Indoors and out, I say let light shine.
