Sliding Toward the Dark

On Facebook this month, some friends have been writing daily "giving thanks" updates.

If I wrote one today, it would read:

I am thankful for patterned light.

I don't make Facebook Thanksgiving posts: I write paeans of Thanksgiving every day of the year.

Here, in this blog.

My Daily Snap is My Daily Reminder of What Lasts.

And for that, too, I give thanks.
